Christian Parenting Tips Health – I feel all these things when I lay awake at night wondering why. Why am I here? Why am I still alive? I wonder if death is the best option.
I would put on that fake smile every morning, so people wouldn’t question it and think nothing was wrong. I wear it as a mask to hide who I really am and what I really feel. I feel alone. I feel like I’m the only person in the world I can really talk to, because I feel like I’m the only person who can really understand what’s going on in my mind. No one else knows what it feels like when you feel completely broken and fragile, like a thin piece of glass. No one knows.

I have found several people who have experienced the same thing as me. They feel the same feelings of emptiness, forgetfulness, worthlessness, defeat, despair and above all loneliness. Depression is something that happens a lot. But God’s Word really helped me through my struggle to overcome my depression. I always try to find the help of the Bible in my time of need.
The Diabolical Genius Of The Baby Advice Industry
When this feeling comes to me, I have a few quotes that I refer to. The first quote I remember is, “‘I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans to make you happy and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future'” ( Jeremiah 29:11). . This verse has given me a lot of comfort when I feel depressed or alone. It reminds me that my life is in God’s hands and I don’t have to worry or stress about my future because God has a plan for me. For you too! This quote means so much to me and has helped me so much that I felt it would be a disservice not to choose it for my verse of affirmation. It is unnecessary.
When I have some of my bad days, I turn to another quote, “God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The righteous may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him out of them” (Psalm 34:18, 19). This is a heartbreaking quote for anyone, not just those who suffer from depression. This quote has lifted me up and taken me to a place where better when I’m almost on my way home.
I don’t feel comfortable talking to people about my feelings. I still don’t. Actually, I hated it more than anything, so the Bible was a very easy subject for me to learn.
So, if you feel empty, forgotten, worthless, defeated, hopeless, or alone, remember that there are people out there who know how you feel. They can help you. There are people who love you and are there for you. After all, God is there for you. He will never leave you and He will never let you down.
It Takes A Village
If you feel depressed and think that the only way to die is to let go, please go get help for yourself. Someone can help. There is still hope.
To help raise awareness and funds for teen mental health, Lakeside Lutheran High School, Lake Mills, Wis., is hosting “Tosses for Teens,” a cornhole tournament fundraiser.
“Mental health is something that affects a lot of people, especially in high school,” said Ryan Berger, a senior at Lakeside and the student coordinator for the tournament. “We chose this because many people struggling with mental illness believe they are alone and don’t realize how many people are like them. Letting these people know they are not alone and that there are others who want to help.”
As part of the event, members of the National Honor Society put together a video to raise awareness about students’ mental health needs.

The tournament raised $3,600, which was given to Christian Family Solutions to support its member assistance programs. Through this program, Christian Family Solutions offers up to five free sessions of Christian counseling for teenagers struggling with issues such as anxiety and depression. Meetings are often conducted via a secure video program.
Christian Family Solutions offers this opportunity to qualified students at all area Lutheran high schools and two Synod prep schools. Program director Dan Nomensen said Christian Family Solutions worked with hundreds of students last fall.
“I knew there were always people who struggled with anxiety, but I never knew how many really did,” Berger says. “All of these things have really opened my eyes to what I can do for other people who may just need a friend.”

You didn’t hear an audible call when you first held that little bundle in your arms, but yours was the same.
Maybe you’re starting this parenting journey and wondering if you’re up to the task. Or maybe you’re knee-deep in parenting and feel like you are
You are not ready for that. But I want to encourage you today. You are ready for the task. How will I know? I know, because of God
Let’s look at two Bible stories that prove this. Two stories with slightly different outcomes…
Teen Talk: You Are Not Alone
In 1 Samuel 16:11, we learn that David was the youngest son of Jesse and a shepherd. You may have a mental picture of the shepherds of Bible times walking slowly with staff in hand and their heads in the clouds. But that didn’t happen. Shepherds guard their flocks fiercely. They have a close relationship with the sheep and see them as a responsibility. Being a shepherd means you are brave, strong and not afraid to stand up for yourself.
In 1 Samuel 17:34-35, David said to Saul, “Your servant was tending his father’s sheep. When a lion, a bear, came and took the sheep from the flock, I chased after him and struck him and saved the sheep from his mouth. When he came to me, I grabbed him by the hair and killed him.” David is not the hairy boy depicted in our children’s Bible. He is a brave and strong young man.
As far as we know, God’s call could not be heard in David’s life, but the power to compel him to fight Goliath was very strong. People tried to talk to him, but he couldn’t hear. These encounters with lions and bears were God’s way of equipping David in his early years for what He had in store for him. And you can be sure that if God calls you to do something, He has prepared you to do it.
We learn in 1 Samuel 17:40 that David went to the river and took five smooth stones and put them in his shepherd’s bag. Why five? Why not just one? After all, he only needed one. But whom God equips, He also confirms it. I believe that the other four stones are David’s favor. God didn’t need them, but maybe David did. As they rummaged through his bag, he assured her that he would get five chances to do what he was told.
Strong Prayers For Good Health
As Christian parents today, the future is filled with anxiety and uncertainty. But know this: As you step forward in faith in what God has called you to do, He will not only equip you, He will convince you. Sometimes more than you need. We only need eyes and ears to see.
In Luke 9:37-43 and Matthew 17:19-21, we read the story of a man who had a son who had seizures. He asked the disciples to heal him, but they could not. So the boy’s father went straight to the source: Jesus. He said, “I have asked your disciples to cast out the spirit, but they could not.” In Matthew 17:20, Jesus clearly tells the disciples why they cannot: “You do not have enough faith.”
Now this does not mean that the disciples did not trust Jesus enough. Or they don’t think Jesus is strong enough. They believe in Jesus. They gave up everything for him. But their faith in them is weak
. In Luke 9:1, Jesus “gathered his twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority to cast out
